Mother Tribute Part III : Elizabeth Willhite

Today's Mothers' Day tribute is for this stunning mama, Elizabeth Willhite.  I met her when she reached out to me after she bought one of my hats at a local boutique.  We realized that we both lived in the same exact tiny beach town and that our babies were almost the same exact age.  A beautiful serendipitous moment for us both.  Elizabeth is a graphic designer and runs her own show also, check out her biz here, I can't believe how stunning these photos turned out of her and her son Hunter in their Mothersun hats.  I asked Elizabeth what her biggest challenge and greatest reward was becoming a mother.  This is what she said:

"The biggest challenge for me when I became a mom has definitely been giving as much attention to my relationship with my husband, as I do to being a mama. I get so caught up in taking care of my little man and making sure the house is taken care of, dinner is made, clothes are clean, dog is fed, bills are paid, appointments are kept, and my sanity is kept (as much of it as possible).
My hubby always says I live in the past and hold onto things too long, which I am 100 percent guilty of. So we made an agreement to try to date as much as possible. Even though I'm with my hubby all the time, I always say "I just want to be with you I miss you". He thinks I'm crazy of course and says "What do you mean I'm right here" lol. Getting to spend even 15 minutes together without the interruption of a toddler, is priceless and something we do not take for granted.
It's hard to pinpoint the biggest reward in becoming a mama, but one of the things that pulls at my heart strings, is the way my little man looks at me and smiles. It's such a simple thing, but it truly melts my heart. It shows me he's a happy, loved, little boy who knows he's loved to the moon and back. There is nothing that compares to the look of pure joy on your child's face when they look at you."
